- Our Core Values
GOD IS GOOD
JESUS' BLOOD PAID IT ALL
EVERYONE IS SIGNIFICANT
WITH GOD ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE!
WE WALK OUT OUR CORE VALUES IN THE CONTEXT OF CHURCH FAMILY WITH THESE 3 PRIORITIES:
God's PresenceOur primary focus is to host, honor and make room for Holy Spirit to move and lead.
We desire to equip believers with the reality that we each carry the Spirit of Jesus within us everywhere we go. God desires to partner with us in releasing & establishing His Kingdom on the earth.
Family
The Church is not a building.
The Church is a multi-cultural, multi-generational family that God has redeemed to walk through life together.
Legacy City Church desires to facilitate new friendships that connect and grow beyond weekly Sunday & Wednesday gatherings.
Honor
In Christ everyone is valued & has a royal identity first as a "son" or "daughter" reconciled to the Father.
Each person has unique gifts and calls we describe as "treasure" or "gold".
We honor God and one another by learning to recognize that treasure and "call it out".
We desire to see people propelled into their God given destiny!
Our Beliefs / Doctrine Statement
- "Every Scripture has been written by the Holy Spirit, the breath of God. It will empower you by its instruction and correction, giving you the strength to take the right direction and lead you deeper into the path of godliness." 2 Timothy 3:16
- There is one God existing in three persons: "The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all." 2 Corinthians 13:14
- All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus. God presented Christ as a sacrifice of atonement, through the shedding of his blood—to be received by faith. Romans 3:23-25
- Jesus is the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Him. John 14:6
- To all who receive Christ, believing in His name and confessing Him as Lord, are sealed with the Holy Spirit as a deposit inside them. (John 1:12, Ephesians 1:13, Romans 10:9) If you do not have the Spirit of Jesus living within you then you do not belong to Christ. Romans 8:9
- God's plan is that every believer would be indwelt, filled, led and transformed by the Holy Spirit into the likeness of Jesus. (Romans 8:14&29, Ephesians 5:18, 2 Corinthians 3:18)
- All believers are called to be ministers as a "priesthood of all believers." "9 But you are God’s chosen treasure—priests who are kings, a spiritual “nation” set apart as God’s devoted ones. He called you out of darkness to experience his marvelous light, and now he claims you as his very own. He did this so that you would broadcast his glorious wonders throughout the world." 1Peter 2:9
- The Gifts of the Spirit are for today and necessary tools to strengthen the body and extend the Kingdom. Romans 12:6-8, 1 Corinthians 12:4-12
- Every human will live for eternity when they die: either with Christ in His heavenly Kingdom or separated from Him for eternity in hell. (Matthew 13:42, 25:4, Jude 1:7, 2 Thessalonians 1:8-9)
- Jesus Christ will come again! Until that time He desires that all would turn to Him and non one would experience eternity apart from Him. "This means that, contrary to man’s perspective, the Lord is not late with his promise to return, as some measure lateness. But rather, his “delay” simply reveals his loving patience toward you, because he does not want any to perish but all to come to repentance." 2 Peter 3:9
